A Comparison Theorem for $p$-adic GKZ Hypergeometric $\mathcal D$-Modules and Complexes

Abstract

We compare the $p$-adic GKZ hypergeometric complex with the hypergeometric arithmetic $\mathcal D$-module defined via six functors. Under the $p$-adic semi-nonresonance condition, the natural comparison morphism is a quasi-isomorphism. We prove concentration of the $p$-adic GKZ hypergeometric complex in degree $n$, establish overholonomicity under another non-Liouville hypothesis. When $(q-1)γ\in\mathbb Z^n$, we construct a Frobenius structure on its $n$-th cohomology and prove that its restriction to the nondegenerate locus is an overconvergent $F$-isocrystal of rank $n!\operatorname{vol}(Δ)$.

Fourier-Mukai partners of abelian varieties and K3 surfaces in positive and mixed characteristics

We study Fourier-Mukai equivalences of (families of) abelian varieties and K3 surfaces in positive and mixed characteristics. We first prove in any characteristics that Fourier-Mukai partners of abelian varieties are again abelian varieties. We subsequently focus on the canonical lifts of ordinary abelian varieties and ordinary K3 surfaces. For such schemes, we show that Fourier-Mukai equivalences on the special fibers can be lifted to the canonical lifts. We also prove that the relative Fourier-Mukai partners of the canonical lifts are in bijection with the Fourier-Mukai partners of the special fibers. We conclude by demonstrating that the last result can be used to recover the ordinary case of a result originally proved by Honigs, Lombardi and Tirabassi.

The geometry of solutions to the general sextic

We study the geometry of the three simplest known formulas for roots of a general sextic polynomial. In contrast with work of Green on the quintic, we show that no "simultaneous uniformization" of the normal forms associated to the solutions exists. This demonstrates an intrinsic qualitative complexity of sextic equations that is not present in quintic equations. Additionally, we give a formula for the roots of a general sextic in terms of Hilbert modular cusp forms and the uniformizing differential equation of the associated Hilbert modular surface.

The Miyaoka-Yau inequality and the delta invariant for Fano varieties II -soliton case-

Inspired by recent work of Inoue and Hallam-Lahdili, we prove an equivariant Miyaoka-Yau inequality with a correction term for smooth Fano manifolds admitting Kähler-Ricci solitons. It recovers the usual Miyaoka-Yau inequality in the Kähler-Einstein case. Our proof uses weighted equivariant Bogomolov-Gieseker and Langer inequalities for torsion-free sheaves, together with a weighted slope estimate for the canonical extension sheaf. We also construct toric examples showing that the existence of a soliton implies neither weighted semistability of the canonical extension sheaf nor nonnegativity of the equivariant Miyaoka-Yau number.
