Bourgain--Brezis selection maps for Hodge systems in Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces

Abstract

We establish Bourgain--Brezis selection maps for Hodge systems in new ranges of Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces. Our approach combines the trace-free Beurling--Ahlfors transform with a nonlinear duality method. To control concentrations, we use tools developed by Stolyarov in the study of Maz'ya's $Φ$-inequalities. These methods yield selection maps in Besov spaces $\dot B^{n/p}_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ for every $1\leq q\leq p\leq 2$, and in Triebel--Lizorkin spaces $\dot F^{n/p}_{p,q}(\mathbb{R}^n)$ for every $1<p\leq q\leq 2$. The theorems hold for every dimension $n\geq 2$ and every form degree $1\leq l\leq n-1$. Although our results overlap with some earlier work, they considerably extend the known range of solutions to the Bourgain--Brezis problem and underscore the importance of the trace-free Beurling--Ahlfors transform in its resolution.

Asymptotic Rigidity and Boundary Structure of Yang's Numerical Invariants for the Bidisk Submodules $[z^k-w^\ell]$

Let \[ M_{k,\ell}=[z^k-w^\ell]\subset H^2(\mathbb D^2), \qquad k,\ell\in\mathbb N,\quad k\ne\ell . \] We study the large-index asymptotics of Yang's numerical invariants and the boundary structure of their generating function. Starting from the exact staircase formula obtained in our preceding work, we prove that \[ Σ_j(M_{k,\ell}) = \frac{C_{k,\ell}}{j} + O(j^{-2}), \] where \[ C_{k,\ell} = \int_0^\infty \frac{x^2} {(x+1/k)^2(x+1/\ell)^2}\,dx . \] The first strict descent together with $C_{k,\ell}$ recovers the unordered pair $\{k,\ell\}$, yielding an asymptotic rigidity principle. At the next order we obtain a periodic correction \[ Σ_j(M_{k,\ell}) = \frac{C_{k,\ell}}{j} + \frac{Ψ_{k,\ell}(j)}{j^2} + O(j^{-3}), \] whose least period is \(\operatorname{lcm}(k,\ell)\), and we determine the leading amplitudes of the strict drops. For Yang's generating function \[ \mathcal P_{k,\ell}(t) = \sum_{j=0}^{\infty}Σ_j(M_{k,\ell})t^j, \] we prove that it has radius of convergence one and a logarithmic singularity at $t=1$; hence it is never a polynomial for $k\ne\ell$, giving a negative answer to Yang's polynomiality question within this quasi-homogeneous family. The periodic higher-order corrections generate root-of-unity polylogarithmic boundary modes. The leading logarithmic coefficient together with the second-order boundary support determines the unordered pair $\{k,\ell\}$, while successive renormalized boundary limits recover the Fourier coefficients of every finite-order periodic asymptotic term.

The Critical Value for the Beurling-Type Theorem in Weighted Bergman Spaces

For every $α>1$ we construct a finite set $A\subset\mathbb{D}$ such that the zero-based invariant subspace $I_A$ fails the wandering subspace property. Consequently, the Beurling-type theorem holds on the weighted Bergman space $A^2_α$ if and only if $-1<α\le1$, confirming a conjecture of Shimorin. As a further application, we extend the prescribed-curvature construction of Hedenmalm and Perdomo to all $α>1$, thereby replacing the constant $α_0\approx1.04$ in their result by $1$.

Homogeneous analytic Hilbert modules -- the case of non-transitive action

This work investigates analytic Hilbert modules $\mathcal{H}$, over the polynomial ring, consisting of holomorphic functions on a $G$-space $Ω\subset \mathbb{C}^m$ that are homogeneous under the natural action of the group $G$. In a departure from the past studies of such questions, here we don't assume transitivity of the group action. The primary finding reveals that unitary invariants such as curvature and the reproducing kernel of a homogeneous analytic Hilbert module can be deduced from their values on a fundamental set $Λ$ of the group action. Next, utilizing these techniques, we examine the analytic Hilbert modules associated with the symmetrized bidisc $\mathbb{G}_2$ and its homogeneity under the automorphism group of $\mathbb{G}_2$. It follows from one of our main theorems that none of the weighted Bergman metrics on the symmetrized bidisc is Kähler-Einstein.
