Universal property of framed $G$-disc algebras

Abstract

Given a compact Lie group $G$ and its finite subgroup $H$ we prove that the $\infty$-category of $G/H$-framed $G$-disc algebras taking values in a $G$-symmetric monoidal category $\underline{\mathcal{C}}^{\otimes}$ is equivalent to the $\infty$-category of $V$-framed $H$-disc algebras (where $V$ is an $H$-representation) which take values in $\underline{\mathcal{C}}^{\otimes}_H$, the underlying $H$-symmetric monoidal subcategory of $\underline{\mathcal{C}}^{\otimes}$. We will use this construction to refine the $C_2$-action on the real topological Hochschild homology to an $O(2)$-action.

Cohomology of non-finite CL-shellable posets

Shellable complexes are homotopy equivalent to a wedge of spheres of possibly different dimensions, so that the (co)homology of the constant functor over the complex is concentrated in those degrees. In this work, we introduce the concept of a stable functor -a local weakening of fibrancy- over a shellable poset, which ensures the vanishing of the (co)homology of such a functor in specific degrees. The methods are based on a model category structure on the category of functors indexed by a filtered poset and the combinatorial structure of shellable posets. Our techniques work over non-finite and non-pure posets and employ a description of (co)homology via explicit fibrant replacements. Applications include acyclicity criteria for Mackey functors, computation of cohomology of $j$-th exterior powers over arrangement lattices, and homological decompositions for Bianchi groups $Γ_d$ for $d=1,2$.

The formal spectrum of a tensor-triangulated category

To any essentially small tensor-triangulated category $\mathcal{K}$ and Thomason subset $Y \subseteq \mathrm{Spc}(\mathcal{K})$ we associate a ringed space $(\mathrm{Spf}(\mathcal{K},Y), \mathcal{O}_{\mathrm{Spf}(\mathcal{K},Y)}),$ called the formal spectrum of $(\mathcal{K},Y)$. We establish basic properties of this construction and compute it in several examples from algebraic geometry, chromatic homotopy theory, equivariant homotopy theory, and modular representation theory.

The Morita classes are nonzero

We prove that all Morita classes $μ_k \in H_{4k}(Aut(F_{2k+2});\mathbb{Q})$ are nonzero using a novel description of the Hopf algebra structure on Steinberg homology. We prove analogous results with twisted coefficients. Our results disprove a case of a finiteness conjecture of Kontsevich.
