On balanced coronas of groups

Abstract

Let $G$ be an infinite group, $κ$ be an infinite cardinal, $κ\leq \mid G\mid$ and let $\mathcal{E}_κ$ denotes a coarse structure on $G$ with the base $\{\{ (x,y): y\in F x F\}: F\in [G]^{<κ}\}$. We prove that if either $κ< \mid G\mid$ or $κ= \mid G\mid$ and $κ$ is singular then the Higson's corona $ν_κ (G)$ of the coarse space $(G, \mathcal{E}_κ)$ is a singleton. If $κ= \mid G\mid$ and $κ$ is regular then $ν_κ (G)$ contains a copy of the space $U_κ$ of $κ$-uniform ultrafilters on $κ$.
