Equicontinuity criteria for metric-valued sets of continuous functions

Abstract

Combining ideas of Troallic and Cascales, Namioka, and Vera, we prove several characterizations of \textit{almost equicontinuity} and \textit{hereditary almost equicontinuity} for subsets of metric-valued continuous functions when they are defined on a Čech-complete space. We also obtain some applications of these results to topological groups and dynamical systems.

Fractal dimensions and quasisymmetric packing-minimalities of some homogeneous Moran sets

In this paper, we study the upper box dimensions, the packing dimensions and the quasisymmetric minimalities of some homogeneous Moran sets. We obtain the upper box dimension formula and the packing dimension formula for three classes of homogeneous Moran sets under some conditions. And two classes of them with packing dimension 1 are shown to be quasisymmetrically packing-minimal.

Universal approximation of continuous maps between topological vector spaces

We study the problem of universal approximation of continuous maps between topological vector spaces by neural networks. We provide a universal approximation theorem for maps between locally convex topological vector spaces with and without paracompactness assumptions. We extend this result to continuous maps between non-locally convex topological vector spaces on compact sets under the assumption of finite topological dimension.

On $\mathcal{I}^{st}$- convergence in the space of reals

In this paper, we study the notion of $\mathcal{I}$$^{st}$-convergence of sequences of real numbers which is an extension work of $\mathcal{I}$$^*$-convergence on real sequences. We also define the convergence field of $\mathcal{I}$$^{st}$-convergence and $\mathcal{I}$$^{st}$-limit points and we discuss some properties related to these notions.
