Boundary interpolation for slice hyperholomorphic Schur functions

Abstract

A boundary Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation problem is posed and solved in the quaternionic setting. Given nonnegative real numbers $κ_1, \ldots, κ_N$, quaternions $p_1, \ldots, p_N$ all of modulus $1$, so that the $2$-spheres determined by each point do not intersect and $p_u \neq 1$ for $u = 1,\ldots, N$, and quaternions $s_1, \ldots, s_N$, we wish to find a slice hyperholomorphic Schur function $s$ so that $$\lim_{\substack{r\rightarrow 1\\ r\in(0,1)}} s(r p_u) = s_u\quad {\rm for} \quad u=1,\ldots, N,$$ and $$\lim_{\substack{r\rightarrow 1\\ r\in(0,1)}}\frac{1-s(rp_u)\overline{s_u}}{1-r}\leκ_u,\quad {\rm for} \quad u=1,\ldots, N.$$ Our arguments relies on the theory of slice hyperholomorphic functions and reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces.

A Non-integer Dimensional Space Approach to the Moisil-Teodorescu Operator

The vector calculus in non-integer dimensional space (NIDS), including the NIDS version of the standard vector differential operators (gradient, divergence, and curl) is well-known. A deformation of the quaternionic Moisil-Teodorescu operator, written in terms of NIDS derivatives is the main purpose of this article. Along similar lines, we consider the NIDS reformulation of the quaternionic Bitsadze operator and the Lamé-Navier operator of the three-dimensional elasticity theory. Also, a quaternionic reformulation of a NIDS time-harmonic Maxwell system is introduced, whose solutions are directly related with those of the perturbed NIDS Moisil-Teodorescu operator. Finally, a generalized approach to the study is addressed.

When can a power series be analytically continued?

A classical line of research characterizes analytic continuation of power series through analytic interpolation of their coefficients. Under suitable hypotheses, the growth of the interpolating function reflects the geometry of the continuation domain, and conversely. We survey the development of these results from Leau and Le Roy through Lindelöf, Carlson, Dufresnoy$\unicode{x2013}$Pisot and Arakelian. We formulate the main results in a unified notation using compactifications of the complex plane. In particular, we give a comprehensive treatment of Carlson's second continuation theorem, which has received little attention, and prove a refinement based on the Laplace transform.

On the Ohsawa-Takegoshi $L^2$ extension theorem and removable singularities of plurisubharmonic functions

The celebrated Ohsawa--Takegoshi extension theorem for $L^2$ holomorphic functions on bounded pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb C^n$ is a fundamental result in the fields of complex analysis and algebraic geometry. In 1995, Ohsawa conjectured that the theorem holds more generally on bounded complete Kähler domains in $\mathbb C^n$. Recently, Chen, Wu and Wang confirmed this conjecture in a special case. In this paper, we extend their result to the case of holomorphic sections of twisted canonical bundles over relatively compact complete Kähler domains in Stein manifolds. As an application, we establish a Hartogs-type extension theorem for plurisubharmonic functions across compact complete pluripolar sets. This result complements a classical theorem of Shiffman and may be regarded as a plurisubharmonic analogue of the Skoda--El Mir extension theorem, thereby filling a gap that appears to have remained open in the literature since at least 1985.
